this is a good quality sword for practicing but a fraction of the cost of a Japanese sword. Beware the blade is extremely sharp and highly recommend the maintenance kit as the sword needs to be cleaned and oiled every time you use it and at least monthly if just displayed.
This is a real Katana made with real Katana materials, features and techniques. The quality is good enough for use as a practical, usable Katana for any and all purposes. I highly recommend buying this Katana for this reason. If you want something to worship and just look at, then buy one for a few thousand more and just stare at it. Otherwise, buy this one and you'll have no worries...
The sword I received arrived in a quality printed Musashi package that demonstrated more care than is typical of similar products on the market that come in a generic brown box billowing packing peanuts.
cant beat this sword for the price. a little heavy but I expected that. came sharp and in perfect condition.

Now I may be mistaken, but this looks just like the Musashi Bamboo Warrior katana. Which in that case isn't a pretty awesome bugmdget katana with real carbon steel and hamon. But it's also like only a $100 sword. Soo... Look for the authentic Musashi stamp or Smith signature on the tang.
This sword is absolutely beautiful. Great quality, good weight and balance. My only issue with the sword is the claw and the wrapping that's tied to it. The wrapping is a really cheap looking material that appears worn on the edges. Also unlike most samural swords it's not beautifully tied/wrapped around the sword. Aside from that I really like the sword. Oh and one more thing, the picture used to show the sword is accurate so don't expect it to be white as it is in the movie. However in my opinion, the color of this sword/sheath is better than that of the movie.

Received it yesterday and was blown away from it's appearance. I saw the layers on the sword that made it really stand out. Well balanced and sharp. Really a truly, beautiful while a fully functional and a battle ready sword. I would recommend getting this katana to anyone....5 stars all the way.
I don't have much experience playing with Japanese sword. But I definitely feel the quality when I unpack it, it comes with a certificate and even a carrying bag! The details of this sword is nice and clean, material feels solid and grace. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
This is my seventh samurai sword that I have purchased over the past 25 years. I must say that I was very impressed with the overall quality of this sword. It has a great feel of balance and strength and looks like a sword that you might otherwise pay around $800. I have a black belt in kenjutsu (Kuki Shinden-Ryu Happo Bikenjutsu) and this is one of my favorite swords. Even though it was not manufactured in a traditional way, it is proof that modern manufacturing techniques can mass produce swords that any ancient samurai would have envied. It handles well, and cuts well. It's razor sharp and nearly indestructible.

This is the first of the Musashi Katanas in my collection. I own afew made over seas from Japan, and China. And note those that come from the Mainland in the Beautiful Country of China are as deadly as they are beautiful. those whom seriously study the Katana know its history and it coming from China says alot Not CHEAP,either. That's the orgin of the sword and other blood letting weapons. Including the Katana...
Great sword, expecially for the price. The blade looks great and feels very high quality. It came sharp, but not razer sharp. You can still cut paper with it if you wanted.
Full tang Authentic everything including beautiful hamon! I would recommend this blade to anyone looking for a cheap but well made and truly battle ready. I have put this blade through hell and back and it still looks amazing. However I have polished and sharpened along the way I have had this blade for about a year now and it is my favorite. This blade could match just about anything you see a warrior class cold steel katana do. the only thing better than this blade is one that has been deferentially hardened for authenticity but as durability is concerned for most people mono steel is fine, when made of high carbon steel.
